Jahnavi Sheriff is a professional dancer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. She got her daily dose of dance while she stayed in New York, completing her one-year course at Broadway Dance Centre and also being a member of Urban Dance League. She had the opportunity to learn from the likes of Laure Courtellemont, Jessica Phoenix, Miss Likkle Bit, Hannah Herbertson, Tavia, and Tamara. She has also been to Toulouse, France, where she got to learn from Stephen from CJC. Recently, she attended Big Up Kemp Europe 2016 and got to learn from Orville Xpressionz, Shelly Xpressionz, Lil G'bb, Cameron One Shot, Katrin Wow, Lady Cunfaya, Audrey Bosc, Rodrigue, Suns, Andre Cosmic, and Craig Blackeagles. She also participated in the 1vs1 Dancehall Battle and made it to the top 16. Some of the places where Jahnavi teaches are Terence Lewis Academy, The Wooden Stage, The World Dance Center, and Danceworx. She had also been invited to take workshops at Raymond Miranda Academy, Yanis Marshall Heeling Prawcess Event (Mumbai and Delhi), The Raw Project, Homies Project, International Dance Fiesta (Kolkata), Happy Hour Dance Place By K&D (Hyderabad), Bombay Fest 2016, Urban Dance Week (Pune), Homies Monsoon Edition, Mispa (Jaipur), and Urbanation Season 2 (Bangalore). Jahnavi is not only limited to dancehall, she has had her dose of training in hip-hop choreography as well. She is currently a student at FnS (breaking) and Aerial Silk by Shruti Jasani. She has learnt the basics of house, old school, jazz, ballet, etc. Her base was Bharatnatyam and has trained at the Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts.
