Intoxicate is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. It was founded in September 2010, by Somagni, Sarbajeet, and Swamantak. After several changes in the lineup, the band zeroed with a stable lineup comprising five members. Dedication for heavy metal music was the common aspect in each and every member of the band and hence the band started with a goal to make original heavy metal music. A unique thing about the band is that the members have diverse influences that range from progressive rock to heavy metal, and from neo-classical to Western classical to the new age rock and the alternative rock. The band rose to fame when they won Sikkim-Manipal College Fest, Livewire 2011. After that, they released their first music video. They also signed with the Pune-based label, 'Chaos Records', and launched their first EP – 'Dawn Of Apathy' on 2 February, 2013. The band launched its new single – 'Messiah' from its LP, 'Memories', which released in the year 2015.
