Gioconda Vessichelli is a professional opera singer based out of the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai. She is the inventor and pioneer of the Bollywood opera style. She has sung in many Bollywood movies including Prague, Mary Kom and many others. She has also sung the song 'Thodi Daaru' featuring Mika Singh and Kuwar Virk. The song is the first-time ever Bollywood opera fusion. She is in the annual book of Italian opera singer for having sung in the first-world edition of contemporary opera at The Teatro Comunale di Modena, broadcast in the Italian state radio RAI. She has got two degrees in opera singing and musicology in the international high school of opera, 'H Wolf', and the Italian conservatory 'Santa Cecilia'. She works with the great choreographer and director Linsday Kemp and the conductor David Haughton for the opera 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' by Benjamin Britten at Theater of the Giglio in Lucca. She has been the first real opera singer in the world to make a fusion between opera and Hindi music. She often collaborates with singers like Hari Haran, Anup Jalota, and Shibani Kashyap, and has worked for Balaji productions. She won the Norman International Academy medal for her artistic career.
