FolkTantra are an ambient folk rock band from Howrah, Calcutta. They do Bengali Folk songs with a touch of modern ambient progressive music. The band members are experienced musicians and have been performing for seven to eight years, before the formation of FolkTantra since December 2016. As a band, they? like to think that they have been through good and bad together, but one thing that remained consistent is their confident and love for music that binds them together and keep them going.? Although, a new band on the block, but yet with their confident and talent, they have been quite popular doing gigs at various events. Some of the major events they performed at are, • Headlined three concerts in Pune (Pune Kalibari, Bangiya Samsad, Anandam Association) • Headlined at Haldia Government College • Ranked 22nd by SENNHEISER top 50 bands in India • Released our second single “Bhromor” under Hindustan Records • We have crossed 16,000 YouTube views for our first single, within seven months
