Corrupt Illusionist is a musical venture of Mohit Jain, who has been at the forefront of both rock and psychedelic trance music in the capital city of India, New Delhi. Mohit’s journey started out listening to nu metal music with his major influences coming from the legendary bands like Slipknot, Deftones, Mudvayne, Korn, etc. He started his musical journey as a drummer at the age of 15 and since then, he has played as a drummer and a vocalist for numerous bands including Half Way Through, 1833 AD, and Zealotry. His journey was embarked towards more heavy sounds, so he turned to incorporating electronic music with crisp guitar riffs, sublime melodies, and soundscaped drum patterns. Mohit began DJing as a hobby, and soon developed his own unique sound and music style. As the days passed by, he came in contact with other psychedelic trance music producers. He got to learn more about electronic music and thus could carve out the sounds that he was most enthusiastic about. He defines his genres of music as corrupt and twisted. He has been responsible for dance floor stomp massacres across various venues in Delhi and NCR. He has had the pleasure for opening for various world renowned artists like Whiptonge, Highstyle, Arjuna, Junx Punx, Antagon, Hyperactive 25, Psycho Bunny, Wario, Fobi, etc. Mohit's music boast of complex geometrical arrangements of the beats and intelligent use of multiple samples overlapping with each other so as to deliver mind-bending chaotic music resulting in major stomps on the dance floor.
