Clinton Cerajo is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Starting off his career over thirteen years ago singing jingles, he went on to composing and scoring for hundreds of ad films for major brands like Pepsi, Levi’s, Audi, Tata, Airtel, Phillips, World Gold Council, Vodafone, Hyundai, and Colgate to name just a few. His jingle for Vodafone’s ‘Blackberry Boys’ and Lifebuoys ‘Gundappa’ received a wide acclaim within the ad circles. As a vocal arranger and programmer in the Bollywood industry, Clinton has and continues to work with music directors like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, AR Rahman, Salim-Sulaiman, Vishal Bhardwaj and Pritam. His film credits include blockbusters like Kaminey, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Chak De India, Kahaani, and much more. Clinton arranged the vocals of the Oscar-nominated song, If I Rise, a duet with Dido and AR Rahman. He had also made vocal arrangements for songs in Rahman’s previous Hollywood soundtrack, Couples Retreat. More recently, Clinton has been credited with vocal arrangements for international singer, Michael Bolton’s new album called Gems, which features a song by Rahman and for the supergroup album ‘Superheavy’ featuring legendary artists like Sir Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones), Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, and Damien Marley, the son of Bob Marley. Clinton has had a successful parallel career as a playback singer. Singing the hit songs ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’ for the Mani Ratnam/AR Rahman hit film, Alaipayuthey, and ‘Smaiiyai’ for Rajiv Menon’s Kandukondain Kandukondain several years ago, he went on to sing in several Tamil movies and worked with Tamil music directors like Harris Jairaj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and Vidyasagar. He even had a huge hit with ‘Yegirei’ in the Telegu industry with Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s film, ‘Konchem Ishtam, Konchem Kashtam’. In Bollywood, he has sung playback for films like AR Rahman’s One Two Ka Four, Salim-Sulaiman’s Neal and Nikki, Sachin Jigar’s Tere Sang, the hit song ‘Kya Karoon’ from Wake up Sid, and the song ‘Kyon’ from the Pritam movie, All the Best. Clinton has scored a massive hit with his episode on Coke Studio @ MTV Season 2. All the six songs on his episode, which he composed and collaborated with various artists like Sawan Khan Manganiar, Bianca Gomes, Vijay Prakash, Nandini Srikar, Sonu Kakkar, Master Saleem and Vishal Dadlani have been a great success. His song 'Madari', featuring Vishal and Sonu, has gone viral on YouTube scoring over one million hits. He is currently working on his episode for Coke Studio @ MTV Season 3.
