Chandan Rastogi is a professional flutist based out of the capital of India, New Delhi. Born to a non-musical family, Chandan started learning under the guidance of the famous flutist, Anurag Rastogi, in 1999. Five years later, he was tutored by the legend, Pt Alok Banerjee. He trained himself in the tradition of guru-shishya parampara (mentor-disciple relationship) and was graded as an AIR artist in Akashwani, Rampur. He also completed the Praveen diploma in music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. During this period, he was awarded by several organisations like Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Samiti, Sangeet Natak Academy, Aarohi Sansthan, Sahara Pariwar, Rang Vinayak, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Spic Macay, Manav Sansadhan, Greh Mantralaya, etc. Chandan was taught under the guidance of Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia when he was selected for a scholarship programme by Spic Macay. To share his knowledge of the flute, he opened an academy called Vrindavan Bansuri: The Academy of Bansuri. The academy teaches its students everything one should know about the instrument.
