Boney Alex is a professional instrumentalist based out of Margao, Goa. Born in Santa Cruz, Bombay, Boney started learning guitar at a very young age. He used to play in a church choir and took advanced guitar lessons from legendary guitar players in Goa. With his interest in this field, Boney soon made his mark in the Goan music scene by being an integral part of many gospel bands like KIGS, Hidden Track, and currently, Band India. He actively played for different shows and was awarded many times for his outstanding guitar work. Boney’s achievements brought glory to his hometown, Santa Cruz, and Goa. In 2010, the Youth of Santa Cruz felicitated him for his contributions made in the field of music. He has played lead and classical guitar for many music albums in Konkani, English, and Hindi. He has been teaching various styles of guitar playing and improvisations to his students in Goa for the past four years. Currently, he is leading the rock band called Bad Apple, formed a couple of years back.
