Adnan Khan is a professional sitar player based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. Son of the renowned sitar player, Ustad Saeed Khan of Kirana Gharana, Adnan started his initial sitar Taalim under his maternal grandfather, Late Zafar Ahmed Khan. He has since been learning the intricacies of the instrument from his father. The Gayaki Ang is clearly palpable in his rendition of the sitar. Further, he gives stress on melody and fine tonal quality, purity of ragas, swar, and sargam. He is now learning the Gayaki Ang from Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, his uncle. The talented young Adnan has performed in programmes throughout India including the music festival of Harballav in Jalandhar, and the Kal ke Kalakar in Mumbai. He has become a Junior Scholar at ITC SRA under Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan in December 2009.
