2Blue is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Born in 1975, 2Blue is one of the most popular and famous singers in India. He won his first ‘Best Singer’ award in 1984 while he was at school. He relocated to Mumbai in 1998, where he enrolled for MBA at ITM, Navi Mumbai. 2Blue gave his first concert in 2000, after earning his degree earlier in that day. He formed his band, Vayu, and saw themselves headlining every major music festival between 2004 and 2008. 2Blue has performed alongside legends like Paul DiAnno (ex-Iron Maiden), Matthias Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), George Lynch (ex-Dokken), and Jonas Hellborg (ex-Mahavishnu Orchestra). In 2008, he formed his band, Zedde, whose music video debuted on VH1 in 2009. In 2010, Zedde’s ‘Mumbai’ won under two categories at the Asia Pacific Voice Indie Music Awards (AVIMA, 2010): ‘Feelgood Song of the Year’ and ‘Asian Anthem of the Year’. The very next year, Zedde won the Best Band Award at the Artist Aloud Awards. In 2014, he played the role of Judas in Alyque Padamsee’s legendary production of the play, Jesus Christ Superstar. He started his radio show, Off The Record with 2Blue, on Radio City Freedom for independent music.
