Janaki Rangarajan is a professional dancer based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. Janaki represents future of the Ancient art form. From the age of four, she has been passionate about dancing. Her peculiar dance style is a result of her passion, self-motivation and dedication for Bharatnatyam. Her creative approach to Bharatnatyam has won her praises and accolades from dance aficionados worldwide. She believes in maintaining the integrity of tradition. Janaki began her training under the guidance of Smt. Madhavi Chandrasekhar in Trichy, India. When she turned seven, she started learning under Dr Padma Subrahmanyam in Chennai, India, from whom she received training for the next 17 years. Janaki's performances have made her travel globally. She tours with new choreographic styles and also conducts dance workshops. Janaki is also the co-founder of Kalashraya, a not-for-profit organization that promotes Indian classical art.
