DYMBUR is an experimental metal band from Shillong. The word DYMBUR is a word from Khasi origin, eluding to a 'Fig Tree', which symbolizes strength and unity in the band. DYMBUR has definitely taken the rough road to be one of the best well known metal acts from Shillong. The band emerged in February 2012 with years of hard work, and then there was no turning back since then. It became the first band from Shillong to use the ‘Djent’ guitar tone and down-tuned eight-string guitars. They are one of those bands that mix elements of experimental and progressive metal together effectively. Since its existence, DYMBUR has released two singles and an official music video. On 5 October 2013, 'When Anger Dwells' was the first single they released. On 19 December 2014, 'Anecdote' was the single and official music video they released.
